Welcome to Rugby Divers!
We are your local British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) affiliated diving club and offer a friendly, training focused environment to help you discover, or develop your diving.
If you are new to diving and are looking for somewhere to start your training; perhaps an experienced diver looking to develop your skills or simply you are looking for a group of like minded people to dive and train with throughout the year, then we are the club for you.
We meet most weeks at the Athletics club near the Queens Diamond Jubilee Sports Centre in Rugby where we conduct theory and pool training, open swimming and skills sessions and get together socially at the end of the night.
Regular club dives are held at nearby inland dive site Stoney Cove throughout the year on Wednesday evenings and Saturday or Sunday mornings. We also organise many recreational trips to other inland dive sites, the UK coast and several overseas destinations. Some of the trips we have recently organised include:
Isle of Man Plymouth Egypt Padstow Mexico
Cyprus The Farne Islands Swanage Turkey Menai Straits
The club owns its own dive boat (RHIB) and has plenty of kit that can be used during training and rented for diving purposes thereafter.
We also hold regular 'Try Dives' throughout the year, so if you have always wanted to learn; would like to have a taster before you go on holiday or simply want to try something new, then a 'Try Dive' with Rugby Divers is for you.
All 'Try Dives' are conducted in the warm and safe environment of a swimming pool under the guidance of one of our experienced dive instructors. See our Try Dive page for more details.
We have a number of dive trips planned for 2019 including our annual trip to the Red Sea, Egypt and Northern Ireland. We are also starting to set up training programmes for our Ocean Diver course and Sports Diver and Dive Leader courses. Please remember to register your interest early.
For January 2019, we are planning a club trip to Truk Lagoon in Micronesia. This is site of the worlds' biggest ship graveyard, and the scene of the battle where the US navy crushed the Japanese fleet during WW2.
Get in touch if you would like any further information or would like to reserve your space.
